Defender firewall is fine and does the job, just a bit quirky on some settings and takes some time to fully understand how the stuff needs to be built out. A firewall is a definite for endpoints. All have been deleted through delete programs program. I have turned off my windows firewall and the security center says I still have firewall on. I cannot access itunes store or downloading programs (such as overdrive media). I do have a router but have tried disconnecting that and connecting computer straight to modem. Still have problem.
