2. I'm lookin at a 2006 BMW R1200RT w/ 38000 miles. It rides good. Transmission seems a little clunky. The electric windshield doesn't work. Its at a Japanese dealer and the previous owner traded it in for a Kawi Concours 14. That may indeed be the cause of the broken swingarm and driveshaft in this picture. The gearbox input shaft is between the engine and transmission and not visible. 2,151. It’s obscene that BMW are quite happy to knowingly let the riders on their bikes break down, potentially mid tour. BMW sells protective rubber strips for the panniers. For the shifthead RT these are made of two pieces. I have them and highly recommend them. My wife has short legs so the protection bars interfere with her comfort, hence these rubber strips. Both are a good alternative to bars for low speed and stationary drops. This is strictly a Map View issue. For arrows directions to appear on TFT you need only Bluetooth connection. I have had a number of earlier RT's and still have a R1100RT as well, For me the 1250 is a great bike, and if you opt for the 2019/20 model you will save yourself lots of dosh for the virtually the same bike, theres lots of low millage tradins in dealers at the moment as people "upgrade" to new one and then find problems There are a plethora of top case options for the 1250RT, I take a look at one.Thank you SW-MOTECH 7NveFP.
