Hi there thanks Ok we need to have the sensor values checked first The DPF sensor has 3 wires on it these checks should be done with multiplug connected 1 wire is a 5 volt reference Feed 1 is a ground and the other is a raw vintage signal out value to the PCM Check the 5 volt reference is ok using the ground of the sensor Next Take the reading from the signal out wire using the ground of the Plugged it in and it gave me the same amount of modules and the same 3 dpf readings. thoroughly disappointed . Still gave it a try. I managed to reset all the dpf settings from DPF soot ld 188% dpf load 183% After a dive down the motorway it was down to soot load 114% and no engine light Posted January 19, 2015. Took my car for a run with Forscan running and the DPFE reading is nearly always at 0kpa and rises occasionally to 1kpa, usually when it has risen to 1kpa the exhaust temperature is over 200º and drops to 0kpa when the temp falls below 200º. So If i am correct the sensor is reading very little difference in pressure The differential pressure sensor measures the pressure drop between two points in the flow pattern and is used at two different points in the exhaust manifold. At one point it reports the charge status of the particle filter and monitors its function. At the other point it is used to control the low-pressure exhaust gas recirculation. It located behind the engine on the drivers side, low down, just above the steering rack. See pic. To get to it, you need to take the under cover off (6 or 8 screws). then get right under the car and look up past the steering rack. the pipes connect to either side of dpf so the sensor can detect a pressure difference in dpf. if blocked the difference in pressure exceeds a certian limit and this triggers the regeneration process. Additionally, a faulty DPF pressure sensor can also cause the light to illuminate. The DPF pressure sensor monitors the amount of soot in the filter, and if it malfunctions, it may incorrectly signal that the filter is full. Poor servicing and vehicle maintenance can also cause a DPF to become blocked. Generally, a DPF should last at least Join Date: Mar 2013. Posts: 805. Re: Engine malfunction warning and P244C DTC. Possible DIY solution to vaporizer carbon blocking is to drill and tap into the end of the vaporizer and plug with a 4mm stainless hex head bolt, as per Meguinnes on Talkford. It's hard to DIY if you're working though. Engine malfunction on display DPF. Mk 1 kuga. I had the car to 3 garages. The first one was my main garage for repairs and he does. me my MOT He removed and cleaned the DPF. (diesel particulate filter) Then next back to him for a engine. management software upgrade Again back to him to fit a new temperature sensor. C40168. C41668. I connected Forscan and it gave me a code saying the Oxy Sensor was failing but I didnt note the code down and since the the following codes appear: ===PCM DTC P246B:00-2F===. Code: P246B - Vehicle Conditions Incorrect for Particulate Filter Regeneration. ===PCM DTC P2463:00-AF===. Code: P2463 - Particulate Filter Restriction 63hgl.
